editorial travel magazine

I designed an editorial travel magazine surrounding ecotourism and sustainable traveling. I wanted this specific issue to focus on the Philippines as the Philippines has taken extreme measures to make tourism greener. The Philippines decided to close down an extremely popular tourist destination, Boracay, for six months in order to clean-up and restore the polluted paradise. Going green and sustainability have become important topics in today's society, so I thought pairing that with travel would make for an intriguing magazine.

I created this zine for a Design Publication class. I wanted to focus on desserts, so I narrowed down the subject to different types of ice creams. Originally all hand-illustrated, the Sweet Shop depicts the several different forms of ice cream and general knowledge of each type. I then converted each hand-drawn page to create a digital copy of this zine via Adobe Draw.
