I was tasked with creating three designs that incorporate the same visual style. I had the choice of exploring the themes of beauty, the abject, and sublime. I chose to delve into the subject of beauty and immediately pictured models and fashion. I wanted to tackle a digital drawing and pair illustration with photography, and to open a discussion between beauty standards in today's society and the standards of the Victorian era. I took editorial images of fashion models from today's time and drew line drawings of Victorian style dresses on top, along with snippets of Victorian era etiquette.
